Becoming a Pet Sitter - The process
PawSpace thrives on connecting pet lovers with pet parents. To achieve this, we have a system in place that promptly helps us provide only the best of services. Wondering how PawSpace chooses it’s trusted pet sitters?
Registration
Interested pet sitters can fill a simple form and tell us about themselves. Registration is completely free of charge.
Verification
Once registration is complete, PawSpace performs a simplified KYC and background check to verify each candidate. This ensures our care providers are genuine and reliable.
Interview
Post verification, the candidates go through a one-on-one interview to understand their pet care experiences, interests and love for pets.
Assessment
Once the interview is cleared, we provide resource materials which contain basic pet care information. Every potential pet sitter must read through the resources and take a quiz to assess their knowledge.
Certification
Once the quiz is cleared, the care providers need to create an attractive pet sitter profile using written, pictures and video descriptions. Now, we present to you PawSpace certified pet sitter that is ready to serve all the darling pets!
Job Responsibilities
Pet Sitter & Pet Boarding
- Timely feeding and prompt with the medications/specifications provided by the owner
- Informing owners of any behavioural and medical concerns to the clients
- Engaging the pets and ensuring physical and mental stimulation (Walks, games and cuddles)
- Providing on-time, accurate and prompt updates to the owners – using calls, photos and videos. Informing owners immediately in case of any mishaps or injuries.
- Respecting client’s properties and valuables
- Maintaining PawSpace standards and meeting all the client’s needs
Job Responsibilities
Dog Walking
- Picking up dogs from the owner’s and taking them for a safe walk
- Maintaining cleanliness of the surroundings when walking the dog(s)
- Providing on-time, accurate and prompt updates to the owners – using calls, photos and videos
- Informing owners immediately in case of any mishaps or injuries.
- Ensuring safety of the pets and those in the surroundings
- Maintaining PawSpace standards and meeting all the client’s needs
Age: Above 18 years
Love for pets in addition to being patience, reliable and trustworthy
Basic communication skills (to interact with the pet owners)
Sound understanding of basic pet behaviors
Proven experience of working with pets
